Placer County Receives Grant to Assist At-Risk Businesses

Placer County’s Office of Economic Development is offering a rapid response assistance program for businesses in danger of closure or laying off employees.  The grant is a program of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and is managed by Golden Sierra Job Training Agency and Golden Sierra Workforce Investment Board.  The program can act as a referral service to help employers get the help they need to avoid or reduce the impacts of layoffs and to strengthen their businesses.  A variety of assistance is available including financial assistance business plan development and government contract resources.

  1. This is really a great program. I have recommended it to many businesses that are struggling financially but need more personnel to grow.
